I don't know if anyone can help me, but I thought I'd give it a whirl anyway - nothing ventured nothing gained and all that ;)

I own an original silhouette and want to be able to print and cut decoupage sheets from my silhouette.

I save my sheets in jpeg format, 300 dpi and A4 in size.

Using the Robomaster software 5.10 I open a new file and insert file (my sheet), and then click get outline which opens up the autotrace program. After amending the necessary, I update the outline then paste and exit.

My print images and cutlines look perfectly aligned on the screen, but after outputting to printer, and then outputting to CraftRobo, the actual cut lines never match up to the printed images. They start off fine but then the cut images (for whatever reason) always end up smaller than the original printed image.

I have double checked and my images are well within the print and cutline guides, and my printer settings are not set to reduce/enlarge to fit page.

I am truly going out of my mind trying to figure this one out.... I know the machine can do it - I have bought premade sheets, printed and cut them out and they are fine - but whenever I do my own they won't line up.

I did try getting an answer from Quickutz, but they no longer deal with Silhouette enquiries - so I'm now waiting on an answer from Silhouette - although they have written on their blog that they cannot advise about any problems due to imported images which are not purchased from them. :icon_rolleyes:

Any help or advise you can offer me will be a massive help, and may even stop me going completely mad lol

Thank you

I just thought I'd let you all know there is a solution to this problem, and with the help of 3 other forums I have finally found it.... I'm so excited I could do handstands. lol

After inserting your graphics and getting the cutlines via autotrace.

Go to output settings - click on properties for your printer and then tick the box to tell printer to reduce/enlarge to fit page size. Then print.

Then output to craftrobo and cut as normal ...... everything perfectly aligned.

Hope this helps someone in the future. I'm off to have a play now. he he

Best wishes as always

Debbie, really glad you got it sorted....I felt bad that no-one had responded but I guess they were all in the same boat as me......thought you might as well be speaking another language as it made no sense to me whatsoever!! :icon_redface::icon_redface::icon_rolleyes:lollol

All sounds very technical, but it obviously floats your boat so good luck with the future projects! ;)

sorry did not see your post until today, but I had a lot of trouble with my robo, not cutting right LOL, it would cut away some of the decoupage on one side then leave white on the other, well some very kind lady told me what to do, you set your printer to borderless, then everything was fine LOL, now my robo is always on the go LOL, hope this helps
love & hugs

Thank you Lynn :D

I must admit I gave up for a while because sometimes it would cut properly and then when I tried again it wouldn't :funny: I'll have another go using the borderless settings you suggested, hopefully the file will be more stable.

Thanks again - I really appreciate your input :well done::well done:
