not sure what to say about this problem elliza, i would make sure i press down well on any double sided i use and put it to one side if after a little while it has not stuck well try a bit off anitas tacky glue

I totally agree Tina - I used to make the mistake of not pressing it down firmly enough. I find that if the sticky is not as good as it could be just running over the top with a glue stick first, placing and then leaving for about 15 minutes usually does the trick.

Good luck Elliza, hope you manage to find enough time for crafting in between looking after your family.

Best wishes

Mmm, I'm with the others....I know we tend to be very 'careful' when working with paper and delicate items in our cardmaking, but it does pay to press down really hard and several times on the dst.

Also, you need to apply the dst as close to the edge of the paper as possible, or the bits around the very edge will lift as there's no tape on them.

Oh, and one last thought, if the paper/card you are using is heavily textured or glittered, then it may well need more glue/tape than normal too.

Do hope there's something useful there to help you out....Have fun, and happy crafting. :D

Hi Elliza :)
Have you tried using roller glue :icon_idea: Pritt stick make a really strong one and as of yet none of the things I've made using it have come unstuck ;)

Hi,

I can recommend using Collal Photo Glue, i use it for sticking down backing paper's, matting and layering and infact anything you may need glue for and the great thing about it is is does not set straight away giving you chance to move things around and get them where you want them.

You can buy pack of 5 for £9.99 and they last for ages. I have only just bought my second set of 5 after the first set lasted well over 12 months.

Ebay is the best place to get them aswell.

Depends what you are sticking together. If you are sticking onto glitter card you need silicone glue, nothing else will stick it.Collall photo glue is another I use a lot,its not wet,I find pritt sticks dont stick well.I also use a wider tape if sticking backing papers.Velum I tend to use brads with a dab of glue under image
