Little Experiment

As you all know I have been looking at a way to change the voting in the competitions so we can vote for more than one card,

With your help were going to all have a little experiment with last months entries and see what happens,

Basically you can rate every card on one a scale of 1 to 10 by clicking on the stars; you can also leave a comment if you wish (just like the normal gallery)

You can rate every card if you wish or just one it’s up to you,

Let’s see how it plays out and if you all like it I might do it for this months voting :)

Not sure this would work unless you could make voting anonymous. As this is an experiment I've given some low scores just to make it work, but what if we all gave everyone a 10? Maybe a maximum of votes - like 10, 7, 5
And I know I'd be upset to learn that a forum buddy thought my efforts only worthy of a 1 or 2 CONF

Hi, :D I've only just got the chance to get onto the computer, and when I clicked on the links, it took me to the comp gallery for Feb but i wasn't able to leave comments or vote/rate any of the cards......have I missed the trial sammy, or am I doing something wrong....? CONF

Derrrrr!! Just seen that its JANUARY'S comp you are carrying out the experiment on!! :icon_redface::icon_rolleyes: I do agree with Elaine, and think it may be upsetting if you saw a low rating from one of your buddies, and I also think maybe the scores would end up very similar....then you'd have more than 1 person winning each of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places..... I know we found it hard voting for just one last month, but personally, I think I'd rather do that than upset anyone with low ratings....

Another possiblilty that just occurred to me: could you possibly set it up so that we could score only one card a 10, one as a 9, one an 8 etc (a bit like the voting in the Eurovision Song Contest.....NOT that I watch it you understand!! :icon_redface::icon_redface:) That way people couldn't just give everyone a 10....? May well be far too tricky though, sorry Sammy, it was just a thought that occurred as I was typing, probably wouldn't work either!! :icon_rolleyes: :icon_rolleyes: :icon_rolleyes:

I reckon you should just tell us to stop moaning and stick to the one vote, as trying to change it is too much work!!! :plollol

lol lol lol lol Ok, now I know we can vote for all of them if we want, but I still don't think there's any in there under an 8 lol lol Done a few then realised it was a bit futile - I love them all lol lol lol

I thought about the low score and people’s feelings that why I wanted to have a test run just so we could all see and I think that the choice is easy were all stick to just one vote each lollol it’s really hard but better than hurting anyone’s feelings :)

Ali that’s a good idea about having the staggered scoring but if a new person enters they will get confused so it probably won’t work CONF

Thanks for trying to do something about the voting Sammy, and sorry we're such a bunch of moaning minnies....feel awful when you do so much for us. :icon_redface: I reckon we're just creatures of habit, but will soon get used to just the one vote, and I think its simpler than trying to over-complicate things. ;)

Sammy I have a question :) Can I change my entry? I know it's only one entry per person but I like my card made with Debbies great stepper templates better than the card I did enter. Is there a way to delete that and put the new one on instead?

I think it is better that we stick to just one vote, I would feel terrible if I hurt someones feelings!CONF
Sometimes it is difficult to choose, but as Elaine (I think) said, she just chose the one that made her smile!:D
People can choose their fav for whatever reason, whether it's the graphics used, the work involved, just like the style..............
Thanks for trying to satisfy us but you can't please all of the people all of the time!;)
