Can anyone tell me what pens you use to colour in when stamping?
Thanks in advance.

Denise, Debbie has tried several different one, and by all accounts its a matter of personal choice. (I believe her favs were the Whispers, and Becky likes the Copics, but don't quote me on that!!!) :D
I've tried watercolour pencils and a wet paintbrush, but you can use Whispers pens, Copic pens, Promarkers etc I too want to have a go with these, but they are pretty expensive. I'd like to know how to create the shading effects too. ;)

Spot on Ali - I love the whisper stroke pens - pretty cheap by all account and you can get a separate blender pen to mix the colours seamlessly or shade etc.,
Becky likes the copics and the pro-markers - I've seen fantastic colouring using these, but I don't seem to be able to get the hang of them. :icon_rolleyes:
Maybe see if there's a craft show near you soon Denise, you might be able to play with the demo pens and make your mind up that way - so much to choose from and everyone likes something different.
Not much help, sorry CONF

I started off using normal marker pens, inherited a few different types and bought some whispers markers which you can blend with a paintbrush and water or they have a special blending pen. I also have watercolour pencils and sakura! Go for it and try a few different things, see what you like!
I also saw a demo of copic pens recently which seemed good but haven't tried them yet!

i would love to do more stamping but still in the practice stage, have tried watercolours which i found worked well and have used sakuraa pens as well, but like ali am unsure of shading which i think holds me back from doing more

Tina, I saw a demo on copic pens and the girl drew a sun on the page where she had stamped a teddy! She then explained about thinking where shadows would be cast and shading by building up layers, not forgetting under a fat tummy or an arm etc! Sure it's one of these things that comes with practice!:D

I use pro markers, watercolour pencils and even good old normal colouring pencils. they all give a different effect and it all depends on what kind of finished look you are after,
