Hi All
I am a newbie when it comes to cardmaking as i have only been doing it a few months. I was just wondering if anyone has any tips when it comes to do lettering. I have been using peel offs and printing on coloured paper etc however i sometimes feel it looks quite cheap. When i look at everyones galleries i think how did they do that?
Any advice / tips appreciated

hello there, firstly welcome to the forum and also to card making
when it comes to adding wording i think everyone has there own personal prefrences
i sometimes use peel off but prefer mostly to either print directly onto the card which can sometimes be tricky or print onto card or paper (colour depends on what i have on the card) and make my own little text box, i usually matt and layer it as well so it looks better. You can play around with different fonts and font sizes as well as get just the colour you want
pop on over to the general chat when you have time, you will be made to feel welcome and someone always knows the answer to any questions you might have

Hi, and a big welcome from me too. :D If you can afford it (or maybe you could manage to get someone to get you one for Xmas...?) I think a die-cutting machine is a brilliant way to get really good lettering, but they aren't cheap, and then you also need to buy the die-cutters too.... I often print using a matching colour to go with whatever colours I've used on the card, then as Tina said, matt/layer to make it look more professional. There are also rub-ons as well as peel-offs, and even with peel offs, if you have some permanent coloured markers you can colour the peel offs (before peeling them off the backing sheet,) to co-ordinate with the colours you've used on your card....but make sure you wait for it to dry before using. One other idea is the little pre-made tag sentiments from most craft shops and lots of websites. (I keep meaning to get some of these! :) )
Hope that's useful, and hope to see you over on the general chat thread sometime. :D
