I've started this thread as it seems I am completely confusing everybody with A5 templates in my downloads -

My Method in my Madness

When I design an A5 template, I design it on A5 paper measurements. My main reason for doing this is I really hate wasting cardstock.

If I made an A5 document on an A4 page, it would lead to half of the sheet being rendered useless.

Options for Printing your Templates

There are a number of ways to print your templates.

On A5 card or paper

1. To avoid waste of cardstock I would suggest using A5 card (half the size of A4), when you send your document to be printed, make sure your printer settings are set to A5 to ensure correct printing.

On A4 card or paper

1. The option with the least amount of waste would be to open a new A4 document in your graphics program - if the A5 template is portrait in orientation then your new document would be landscape, or visa versa. Your new document would need to be 300dpi otherwise the measurements of the template will not be correct when you bring them over.

Insert the A5 template into the blank page and align to either the left or right (if landscape) or top or bottom (if portrait) on the blank page.

Highlight the placed template, then copy and paste or duplicate if your graphics program allows (this will give you 2 copies of the template on your page).

Arrange the second template on the opposite side of the page so they are both completely visible, and then send your document to the printer. This will give you the card template you need for your current project, plus an extra template for your next creation. ::):

2. If you are using A4 card or paper but only wish to print one template. When you send the document to the printer, make sure your printer settings have been set to Print Exact Size and not Fit to Page - this will print the template at the correct size on your A4 page.

I hope that I have made these templates more accessible to you, but if you do have any problems with them at all, please do not hesitate to send me a PM when I will be more than happy to help you out wherever I can.

Sorry for the confusion everyone
