Hiya, with all you new designers out there, I fancy having a go just for myself! At present I only use word to do some stuf but am looking to be a bit more adventurous. Can anyone direct me towards a better programme?:D

Most people use paint shop pro but for me there’s only one programme out there and it’s adobe Photoshop cs4, it’s quite expensive but well worth the money,

Some advice,

EBay is cheaper than the shops,

If you can’t afford cs4 then go for cs2 as it will be cheaper and just as good

If you know a student they get 80% discount ;)

If you need training then go to Scrapgirls university

I'm with Sammy on this one Dawn and absolutely love photoshop now I've got it.

I used to use Microsoft Digital Image and that is quite comprehensive and does quite a few of the bits that photoshop does. It has been discontinued now so you might be able to find it pretty cheap on ebay or somewhere like that.

Good luck, hope you find the programme that ticks all your boxes ;) and looking forward to seeing some of your designs if not on Sammy's site, certainly in your gallery. ;)

I use a mixture of paint shop pro and photoshop cs3, not very good with photoshop yet as everything is completely different.

Hi Dawn,

I tend to use Paint.net which is a free programme that can be found on the internet and you just download it and use it. I find it very easy to use. Very basic I know but that's me, ha, ha!
