Hi June

See if this old post helps with your paper problem.

I have epson printers, and usually have mine set on Plain paper and Text and Image settings. Sometimes, depending on the card I do set the paper to Matt Paper - Heavyweight - that'll make the print alot more clear without overdoing it on the photo settings ;)

Hope that helps :D

:)Hi, I have a brother printer & thought at first it wouldn't take thick card! I tried it a while later & found it did go through, must've just needed to limber up a bit first!
I've used all sorts of card and paper, but find the super smooth card fronm C&C is okay for cards and decoupage layers. They also do supersmooth paper which is fine for smaller detail decoupage!
Hope you find something that suits, it's all just a case of trial and error till you find what you're happy with!:)

Hi, and welcome!!

I also thought that thick card wouldn't go through my printer, but discovered that with a bit of a 'helping-hand' as the printer tries to take the card in, (ie. I push it down!!) I've discovered that it will actually go through fine!! :well done::funny: I use a 220gsm thick card.

As the others said, its a case of trial and error and personal preference really, but others opinions can certainly help! :) Good luck, hope you find something you're happy with and works for you. :well done:
