How to make a triple pop-out card
Here's the tutorial for my new triple pop-out cards, they look quite complicated but are actually quite easy to make, hope you like them.
Cut out all pieces then take the card insert and score and valley fold the centre line. Cut the 2 slots & 2 slits as indicated. The 2 slot lines need to be cut out entirely to allow 2 tabs to be pushed through. The 2 slit lines are just a single cut.
Score & mountain fold all lines as indicated on the 3 pop-out elements, then valley fold the tab score lines at both ends of all 3 pop-outs, then valley fold the score lines on the 2 panels where the glue is to be applied. Burnish the folds well so that the tabs and the panels to be glued fold easily in both directions.
Take the centre pop-out and pass the left hand tab through slot A on the card insert. Line up the centre score line with the centre score line of the card insert and line the bottom of the pop-out up with the border on the insert,
Then push the right hand tab through slot B. holding the pop-out in place turn the card over so the wrong side is facing.
Apply glue to the back of the tabs, fold the tabs back and fix into position.
Take the right hand side pop-out and push the left hand tab through slot B, line the bottom up with the bottom of the central pop-out then apply glue to the panel as indicated. Fold this back on itself and fix to the central pop-out.
Now push the right hand tab through slit D and push the pop-out down flat
Turn the card insert over again so the wrong side is facing, apply glue to the back of both tabs, fold them back and fix into place. Repeat this procedure for the left hand pop-out passing the tabs through slot A and slit C.
Gently fold the card insert into a closed position and burnish the folds of the pop-outs with your scoring tool
Open out the card insert
Now take the card front/back, (this is slightly larger than the card insert so there will be a narrow white border around the card insert when fixed in place) Mountain fold the centre score line apply glue to the reverse of the left hand side of the card insert and with the insert in an open position fix it centrally to the back of the card front making sure that the score line on the insert sits snugly into the score line of the card front/back. Then apply glue to the right hand side of the insert and repeat this for the right hand side of the insert to the card back.
Your Pop Out is now complete
Finish the card by applying the decoupage to the card insert and the card front. Fix the paper effect strip on my Bunny Girls & Bunny Boys cards by applying a thin line of glue on the reverse of the left hand edge so the rest of the strip is free and lifts away from the card slightly.
