• How To Make a Just Crackers Box

Start by printing all sheets onto a good quality card, I used 250 gsm Super Smooth and cut out all pieces and score all lines as indicated on each sheet.

Take the Box Lid/Front and side panels fold all score lines as indicated and cut out the white area for the apertures

Take the inner lid and front panels, cut out white central area and apply double sided tape as indicated. Cut 2 pieces of acetate 12 cm x 7 cm and fix these onto the double sided tape. Then fix both of these panels to the
reverse of the Box Lid/Front lining up the apertures.

Apply glue to the central long tab of the box front and fix this in place to the inside front edge of the box base, ensuring that the score line lines up with the front edge of the box base. Then fix the side tabs in place along the inside edges of the box base, again lining up the score lines with the edge of the base

If you are making the 3D scene, take the inner base panel and cut slots where indicated. Then score and V fold the lines on the base tabs of the stand up elements. With the tabs folded, glue the elements back to back with their mirror images. If you are making a gift box fix the inner base panel in place right side down so the slot marks are not visible.

Rub a glue stick along the tabs of the stand up elements as indicated and push these through the relevant slots on the base inner panel and fix them into position on the underside. Then apply glue to the reverse of the base panel and fix this in place in the box. Now fix the back inner panel in place

Apply glue to the reverse of the tabs on the card back and glue these into place on the outside of the box sides. Close the lid by inserting the lid tabs into the box.

Take the cracker end sections and fold all lines as indicated on sheet then cut out the white diamond area. You will need one section with the short side tabs and one section without the short side tabs for each end of the cracker.

Apply glue where indicated to one one the long tabs of one of the cracker end sections and fix this in place to the edge of one of the box ends. Line up the score line with the edge of the box.

Repeat this around the end of the box until all 4 tabs are in place

Glue one of the end blocks over the tabs.

Apply glue the the short tabs and join the two cracker end pieces together.

Repeat this procedure for the other end of the box then glue the cracker end inner panels in place, hiding the tabs that join the two cracker end pieces together and adding a little more strength to the box. Check each of these for size before applying glue and trim the side edges if necessary.

Gently push the two cracker ends in towards the centre until the V folds collapse in. Tie a length of ribbon around each end of the box pulling quite tight, then finish off with a bow.
